(Dec. 11, 2024 – Washington, D.C.) – The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) announced details for its national conference in 2025, offering keynotes, CEUs, programming and networking, and a celebration of the association’s 50th anniversary. GATHER 2025: The National Conference by ASID, will be held August 17-19, 2025 in Atlanta, Georgia, and will welcome representatives from all sectors of the design community to explore the social and cultural contexts impacting design.

“ASID represents a tradition of excellence for all those who work in interior design," said Khoi Vo, chief executive officer, ASID. “For half a century, ASID has served as the leading voice, advocating for the profession as it has evolved and responded to our changing world. Today, ASID is the central hub for all who work in and adjacent to the design community. We are proud to honor the association’s rich legacy and celebrate the future of the profession at GATHER, where we will connect designers and industry partners from all sectors to learn, network, and ideate the future of design.”

The conference theme, “Celebrating 50 years of Interior Design Excellence: Honoring our past, designing the future,” recognizes ASID’s history, spanning five decades, while looking ahead to the future of the practice and its impact. Atlanta holds a special place in ASID’s history, as it was the site of the organization’s first Board of Directors meeting in 1975 and the host city for its first national conference and expo in 1976. By returning to Atlanta for this milestone event, ASID celebrates its roots while showcasing the city’s vibrant and ever-evolving design community. Conference tracks and programming will align with ASID’s milestone anniversary theme, offering attendees opportunities for learning, networking, and community building.

The conference will be anchored by daily keynote sessions and complemented by CEUs, pop-ups, and interactive workshops from thought leaders and experts. GATHER will kick off with ASID’s 2025 Awards Reception, honoring the recipients of the Society’s Legacy, Annual, and FOCUS Awards. The conference will conclude with a 50th anniversary celebration at the Georgia Aquarium, on August 19, 2025.
