Impact Summit 2017: Migration, Culture, and Diversity in the Built Environment

Description

You are invited to attend Impact Summit 2017, a conference that will highlight interior designers’ roles in defining how we live and work across cultures. Jointly hosted by the Interior Designers of Canada (IDC) and the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), this solutions-oriented summit will use the Regent Park community in Toronto as a successful example for how migration can rejuvenate a neighborhood, build a strong workforce, and boost a local economy.

The unique Impact Summit experience will feature world-renowned speakers who will address migration, culture, and diversity in the built environment. The Summit will also include curated walking tours through Regent Park – a thriving area that embraced migration to build a successful, inclusive, and evolving community. You and your fellow attendees, including interior designers and peers from other design and business sectors, will participate in thought-provoking discussions seeking creative and practical solutions to improve communities throughout North America.

Through provocative programming and collaboration, designers’ will expand their knowledge base while helping create ideas to foster culturally diverse, highly functioning, and economically stable communities. Develop new ideas and skills while helping tackle some of the biggest socio-political issues facing today’s society.
